Meet the Ty Croeso Carers

Photo	Liz is the co-ordinator. She deals with enquiries about referrals. She also deals with the administration for Ty Croeso. She works on a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday and if you would like any information about Ty Croeso you can ring and chat to Liz on any of these days.		Carol is a volunteer on a Wednesday and she also volunteers for the Bereavement Group. She is a retired psychiatric nurse and has been with us for 3 years.
	Wendy is the Nurse in charge on a Monday and a Thursday. She was a District Nursing Sister for 34 years in the Ystradgynlais area. She is also an original member of the “Friends of Ty Croeso” and has been involved with them since the very beginning.		Mary is a volunteer on a Wednesday who is in charge of arts and crafts. She is also a wonderful cook and makes dinner for us every week.
Photo	Margaret is the Nurse in Charge on a Wednesday. Margaret worked as a Palliative Care Nurse for many years before she gave up to have her two children. She has been with us in Ty Croeso for 5 years.		Glenys  is our newest recruit. She has just started as a volunteer befriender on a Thursday. Glenys also practices complimentary therapies.
	Eirwen is a Nursing Auxiliary and works in the Ystradgynlais community. She has been an auxiliary for 25 years and has worked in Ty Croeso for 8 years. Eirwen works on a Thursday and offers assisted bathing facilities.		Elinor is our volunteer reflexologist. She visits us once a week on alternate days. She is also the reflexologist for the Bereavement Group.
	Anita is a Nursing Auxiliary and also works in the Ystradgynlais community. She has worked in the community for 17 years and has been with us in Ty Croeso for three years.		Caroline comes to us once a month on a Wednesday and practices aromatherapy which all of our patients enjoy. Caroline is also a Marie Curie n
	Ingrid runs our Bereavement Group*(see below) which has been running for two years. She has 7 years experience as a bereavement counsellor and is a registered nurse. She was also a Macmillan Nurse for 6 years.		Julie
We are also grateful to Helen who comes to do facial massage, and Lynne-Anne, Elaine and Judith from the Red Cross who come to give head, neck and shoulder massage and also a manicure on Wednesdays, Thursdays and for the Bereavement Group.
Julie Also visits us once a month to do facial and leg waxing and Peter, who is a chiropodist, comes when patients request his services, which is usually once every 3 months.
